The ideas that he proposes seem reasonable enough. Also good to see that he is talking about the more basic needs of Army like combat uniforms as well. But as an outsider to the armed forces, I would like to ask a question- The author of this blog has raised the issue of poor planning in procurement in his articles, but most of the times, the defence ministry is said to be culpable in them. Don't the respective armed forces have a say in the process as well? If so, aren't they as culpable as the ministry in the mistakes made in procurement?
