Seems it has fallen prey to sinister designs of Arms Import lobby.
There are some reports that IJT has been abandoned. Is it True?

It is unfortunate that IAF is going for Hawk-132 for SKAT.

Ram Bharadwajnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8726844009873922462.post-18125697789334768422015-11-11T17:02:53.047-08:002015-11-11T17:02:53.047-08:00IAF chief has clearly mentioned that they have mov...IAF chief has clearly mentioned that they have moved away from the old 3 stage training program to a 2 stage program, presumably training on Pilatus on stage 1 and Hawk on stage 2 because of serious shortage of trainers and regular mortal accidents taking place. Just because HAL now claim that they can build a plane suitable for the now defunct intermediate stage, don't think IAF will change their training program again and if they have to use a HAL built plane, chances are even less. Nobody wants to use HAL's services including Boeing, Kamov, Lockheed, Airbus, Dassault, just no one. Even the Sukhoi-30 they claim to make costs India more than if those were imported and what they have learnt from the project remains questionable. The people employed in HAL should take their job as an employment in a Defence Manufacturing Industry rather than a Sarkari Naukri, but the gents employed seem more interested in chicken 65 at lunch and the aunties at sewing wool for a sweater for their grandchildren.no_hunky_punkyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07383408643256470030noreply@blogger.com
