Yes but wait for trust
A BIG NO
Yes, with a rider. That rider being we nuke Pak should tgey ever try to re-militarize the glacier
NO and a big NO
Not until it is totally in the favor of India.
yes.. but as per indian terms
No. My 2 cents, it allows us to bleed Pakistan dry & we cant trust Pakistan to stick to the agreement in future.
NO way not at all.
NO, NEVER !!!
Yes, after we mark actual position and define it as a border.
yes, if on our terms
India demilitarize Siachen; Porkis & Chinkis makes a link-up & we will enjoy another war(Siachen or Sino-indian) due to wise-intelligent political decisions. So NOOOOOOOO....
No. Not until they stop bleeding india through militancy.
No. So many people died in 26/11 and before, their backers are still unaccounted. Why worry if they bleed in Siachen? Rather spend some more to reduce our casualties over there.
NO..Dont trust the pakis enough for that.
No NO NO
NO,NO NO AND NEVER
A big YES. Just as soon as Pakistan accepts Siachin is Indian territory (along with Rawalkot, Gilghit, Skardu and other areas presently under their illegal occupation)
No. Not until the larger Kashmir issue is resolved AND we have a mechanism to verify movements and rapidly redeploy if needed.
Yes....It bleeds India as well and all the people saying a big NO...please stop shooting from your lappies.... go and stay there for a day...You would realise what inhospitable conditions soldiers face atop siachin...
NOfrom sanket jagtap
No - Never
No - Never - Nyet - Nopes :)
Thanx! Naysayers are an absolutely huge majority.
NO WAY !!
No...Ajai sir... NEVER
Yes.Its time to think Big
No...Not at all
I would say, We should always keep a post there and try to improve the infra with science and tech, better management of resources, better machine etc, But If Pak is ready to do everything in Black and white and mark everything on ground and accept it internationally, It is a possibility.
No, as of now
No - Absolutely no way. Having verified their mendacity, we are unable to trust them. With apologies to President Reagan.
NO Never never never OK Pakistan should first make LOC into IB and ONLY then we give them Siachen
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
No..let them wihraw..but correct the media the Pakistan is not on Siachen but Inia
A moral imperative to say NO - All these gentlemen died in 1999 as a result of the revulsive & dishonourable behaviour of an untrustworthy and disrespectable enemy. A very incomplete list but I have drawn names which reflect a cross section of of our great secular democratic republic: Capt Vikram Batra, Captain Haneef-ud-din, Lt. Colonel Vishwanathan, Major Rajesh Singh Adhikari, Major Sonam Wangchuk, Lt. Kieshing Clifford Nongrum, Lt. N. Kenguruse, Naik Digendra Kumar, Lt. Manoj Kumar Pandey, Squadron Leader Ajay Ahuja, Flight Lieutenant S. Muhilan, Naik Chaman Singh, Naik Birendra Singh Lamba, Major Manoj Talwar, Rifleman Bachhan Singh, Rifleman Jasvir Singh, Lance Naik Ghulam Mohammed Khan, Naik Sumer Singh Rathore, Naik Sunil Kumar Singh, Naik Subedar Nageshwar Mahato, Captain Amol Kalia, Sepoy R. Selva Kumar...and the list goes on. Say yes GoI and you have done great souls a great disrespect and purchased present emotional acclaim with future Indian blood, and I for one till my last breath will remind you then that you were unworthy holders of great offices of state.
Absolutely NOT considering recent Sino-Pakistan alliance and its future side effects....
NEVER....Cannot trust those bastards; They have proved time & time again of doing a complete graceful 180deg.
NOOOO NO NO NO (Never trust Pakistan) All the time pak will stab our back, surely another kargil will come so NO NO NO
No, can't trust them
A VERY BIG ... "NO", "NO", "NO". WHAT AGREEMENT... Siachin is our territory. Our wish.. to keep the troop. We will pay from our pockets for the cost of deployment. So.. donn't worry.
I say yes, but with some strings attached. Though we can bleed Pakistan by saying NO, but we too bleed, though not as bad as the Pakistanis. The ones who say No, should also be the ones prepared to bleed for that NO. I am not the one who accepts loss of lives for Indians, just so that we can assure that Pakistanis lose a lot more. To me the best option is no loss on either side. Any blood and money we lose in Siachen could be put to better use for our own good. Therefore I say yes, but any violations of such demilitarization should be met with more than proportional force. This is where I think our babus fail us, time and again. And, this is what is suspect is the reason for some of the NO responses you see here.
No. From a distance, it helps to a get a watch on the Pak-China activities.
NO NEVER...........KABHI NAHI
A BIG NO.
NO, NO, NO, NO, NO...... INFINITIVE TIME NO..... WE CAN'T TRUST THEM. THEY BACKSTABBED MANY TIMES IN THE PAST.
A very Big NO
No. We will loose a handle in negotiation with them.Earlier we made a mistake by accepting Tibet to be a part of China without making settlement of boundary a pre-condition.
No, India should not. They have held our territory, why should we abdicate our advantage now without getting something in return? No, never.
No. Till the time Pakistan remains a tinderbox - neither stable nor completely failed. In other words, as long as the Army and Mullahs call the real shots. Now, since this looks pretty much an irreversible thing, it means the answer is a resounding NO - Not now and (probably) Never.
NO. Not at all !!!
No....we are holding the heights, no casualties..so why should we give it up
What a stupid Quest??NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Pakistan is a failed state now. Therefore it should better merge back to India and Siachen problem is resolved forever.
NO Kabhi NAHIKrish UK
No way, in fact get more of advantage heights. Somebody as idiot as Nehru can only say, 'Not a blade of grass grows there therefore vacate or no harm losing them. Somebody should have told him strategy for National Defense is not in totality governed by only agricultural potential of land but by long term defense strategy of access and denial of resources, land, sea etc etc. Any foolish thing done now camouflaged as smart move, just for instant public appeal will be counterproductive. It can only be allowed if decision makers are made to pay heavily for any loss later.
Nope, trust deficit, irrespective of things that may or may not be signed, sad but true
NO.We must first discuss return of POK.
Yes - after we have managed to live happily for 5 years with demil border all along India-Pakistan IB followed by LoC.- Manne
NO, can`t trust pakis. Remember Kargil.
no, why this fertile idea being put on the platter to our born adversary? going out to offer so much as a big brother not at the cost of national interest. Pak has never generated the TRUST to be so generous. So, lets not have even a referandum on such vital issues, why vote then????? as regards daily wastage of casualty at both ends, will somebody recall the yr 1984 chilling experience when our warriors scaled / surmounted such extremely difficult terrains to flutter the national pride. Tomorrow, somebody will coin the idea, lets give Kashmir (across Banihal) to Pak or as an independent country? and have peace, Cost??????
Hell no they are trying the same tactics as Kargil
Having served in Siachen I am biased. so here it is:a) No demilitarisationb) Return PoKThanks !
No absolutely not. Let them withdraw, we are not going to occupy their worthless territory anyways
I want to say yes but can't it is to strategic and the china threat must be kept in check....maybe if the whole broader including kashmir is resolved then maybe with forces only been directed to defend against china not pak10/4Sydney aus
I'll pose a counter question. Should we attack and free what we call POK and make it really AZAAD ???Are we FREAKING MAD !!! to be even discussing this !!! ???Go report this poll findings to your Nobel aspiring master (yes the same poeple who were spouting out the line of succession BS and now this mountain of peace BS.What happened to responding to the letters of the father of Capt. Saurabh Kaalia, what an ungrateful nation we have become !And yes I do prefer to remain anonymous !
No...we are a better economy....let their economy bleed....it is what the pakistanis want....v can afford....our military is well positioned and trained in high mountain warfare....this would later lead to their economic spill...hv fun
No, of course. I can't believe you asked this question.
Nope! Pakistan is nowhere near Siachin. Why in heaven's name would we sign agreement restricting our rights to deploy troops on our land.
Given the choice of two answers - Yes & no - I choose to say - fcuk, no!
No never ever no trust on pakistan don't forget kargil...we must not give pakistan a chance
No never nahi illa nyet mayo....... A negation in any language
No.May be easier to see the results if you use a poll on a service like SurveyMonkey or similar.
Yes,But after making it a permanent border.
What about POK? Let's first discuss Azad Kashmir, then POK, lastly Siachen. No deal on Siachen.
Ultimately Yes, not NOW.At the moment we have NOTHING to LOOSE. However the Pakistanis on the wrong side of the watershed will increasingly bear the blunt of the Rolling Ice and Floods !!
NO..the pakis are pathological liars & not trustworthy. We must bleed them until they can no longer afford to wage war against us, proxy or otherwise.I have 2 family members serving in forward areas in combat operations who share the same view.
This is honestly not the best forum to conduct such a poll. The fact that a person is on your website, indicates they care about defence affairs, which also implies (though not directly), they have hawkish tendancies. I agree Pakistan can't be trusted. But if we stick with that argument, there can never be peace between India and Pakistan. Maybe like the Israel-Arab, conflict there is no resolution, till one side decides it has had enough and gives up.
YES of-course.De-militarization of Siachen can definitely be considered.BUT ONLY AFTER ACHIEVING A PREREQUISITE BEFORE THAT: COMPLETE DE-MILITARIZATION OF ENTIRE PAKISTAN.
