There are two photographs. The top one is of a cockpit of a fighter aircraft. It shows one HUD (Head Up Display and three HDD (Head Down Display) All three HDDs are Multi Function Displays. Certain analog meters can also be seen which are redundant/standby displays. Portion of the joystick can also be seen in the foreground.
The bottom photograph is of a simulator or a helicopter cockpit. Can't make out either way. Thats about all I can see as a pongo in those photographs NRP
SU-30 MKI Cockpit. I could tell not only because of the MFD, front (HUD) and back cockpit (disply thru camera) but also the big bulge on the right hand side of the outside of the cockpit. a trademark, i can say for the SU-30 MKI.
MI-35 Helicopter gunship, WSO cockpit. In the first photograph- the there is HUD and flight operations mode console. In the bottom photograph, although the GPS and MFD have been retained, the HUD is now replaced with IR / Camera sight superimposed with Flight mode simulation data.
This first picture shows the Engine displays, it got two engines. So definitely this is not MiG27 but seems to be of Russian Origin by the Colour of it. Its a twin seater, so should be Su30 MKI Pilot and WSO Cockpit.
The engine displays shows instruments for two engines, and by the colour of it looks to be Russian. The pictures are of front and rear cockpit so it should be Su30MKI
Front and rear cockpits of the SU30 Prototype '06'( modified Su-27PU) used for testing the different avionics before final design and integration on new airframes
Image 1: Front cockpit of the Indian Sukhoi 30 MKI. At the top is the Head Up Display, allowing the pilot to get essential information without having to look down. Below it are 3 Multi Function Displays (MFDs). The one on the extreme left has been configured to display the basic instruments required to fly the aircraft: attitude indicator (artificial horizon), airspeed indicator, vertical speed indicator (VSI), altimeter, horizontal speed indicator (HSI) and turn & heading indicators. The one in the middle has been configured for navigational purposes. It shows a map with the current position of the aircraft on it. The third MFD on the extreme right displays information regarding the two engines and amount of fuel remaining. In between the 2nd and the 3rd MFDs are the backup mechanical guages showing much of the same information. Below, at centre, is the "stick" to control the aircraft. The stick also includes buttons to fire armaments carried by the aircraft. Between the HUD and the MFDs below it, is the input interface to the mission computer. Information about the mission (waypoints, etc.) are input before the flight through this interface.
Image 2 shows the rear cockpit of the Su-30 MKI. It is where the Weapons Systems Officer (WSO) sits. He has a HUD repeater on top, and all other instruments in the front are duplicated for him. The pilot in front is responsible for flying the aircraft and the one behind is responsible for situational awareness, navigation, target designation, etc., although many roles are interchangeable.
Beautiful pics.. Samtel displays on the Su-30 MKI. Both positions show the tactical moving map display sourced from the israeli display map generator (indigenized for the darin-3 upgrade), while the rear cockpit shows a hud repeater as well. the other 2 displays (left and right) on both positions are basically for standard flight info.
