DRDO Sub Machine Carbine5.56 X 30mm rounds
Is it our own MSMC?
Carbine/MSMC from ARDE pune
That seems to be a Mini Tavor Carbine model with optics attached

- Modern Sub-Machine Carbine (MSMC)- 5.56 × 30mm- Armaments Research and Development Establishment (ARDE)
Missed this attachment..-ITL MARS red dot
Eagerly expecting a cover story of the same.BTW your aiming seems perfect, sir.
Is that MSMC?? the 5.56 mm carbibe developed by ARDE??
Ajai, apart from insas and its variants, does india produce any guns? There are hundreds of gun types made in the US. What about india?
multi caliber individual weapon system. Describe in poster in 2nd pic behind other person.
Amogh carbine. 5.56x30mm rounds. Btw u r pointing that gun towards man wearing the suit. :)
That's the blacklisted gun by AK Antony because Mushie told him that he had given paan to the DRDO chief.
I think this is the one. http://www.defenseworld.net/go/defensenews.jsp?id=4106
we have been seeing it for the last 6 years.......god knows how many more years are they going to take to start the serial production.Hope this is not going to become an other arjun when our army tests this.all the best DRDO.
Think ,it needs an extra butt for stability and to avoid muscle climb.
But Ajai, you don't know to hold it in correctly. This is the way to hold the gun. New style.http://i50.tinypic.com/2ikzgc9.jpg
Ha Ha HaDRDO machine that will not run and be dud in the face of fire. That will a booklet full of all characterstics but a useless venture for soldiers...
That's the INSAS carbine
5.56 mm cartridges, MP-5 type shoulder support, Holographic sight with red dot.OTIn second pic right side there is a poster of F-INSAS gun. Sir, can you share its high resolution image?
it is from our own stable an SMG from the ordinance factories saw a pic from previous years def expo in delhi. msmc as others put it.would love to see it with our police and army.
You folks, I must admit, are way ahead of the curve. There's only one thing that everyone is wrong on. The MARS sight is manufactured by Alpha Design in Bangalore. They have a JV with ITL.Anonymous 19:31Hilarious! That's called the classic South Block undergrip. Prevents the foldout butt from folding into one's butt.Sanket:I'm not pointing towards the gentleman in the suit. I'm pointing way to his left. It's the two-dimensional photo that makes it seem that way.RahulThere is nothing called the F-INSAS gun.
Read more about Alpha design Banglorehttp://www.adtl.co.in/And check the news sectionhttp://www.adtl.co.in/news.html
@19:31I would feel uneasy if he knew how to handle it.
RE AjaiCommon Man, they are such important posters in the background. MSMC is old hat. The posters in the background have never been seen before. Pls can we have better pics or if possible you can ask for a copy of these posters to put on the blog from power be!
Ajai Sir sorry for over excitement. I was referring to poster(on right side) on which Multi Caliber Individual Weapon System is written.
Precisely i was referring to this gun. http://www.defenceforum.in/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1184Sorry for posting two comments instead of one.
http://www.defenceforum.in/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1184http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/6364/41418959.jpgcan you explain these ?
msmc insas 5,56 mm
The Modern Sub Machine Carbine / MSMC submachine gun with optional Israeli-made ITL MARS red dot sight installed on the Picatinny rail.
Col. Shukla,In the top-right corner of the second photo, there is a poster on something called the "Multi Calibre Individual Weapon System".Do you have a close-up of that poster or any details about this MCIWS? To me it looks like a successor to the INSAS assault rifle with modular add-ons: the 40mm UBGL is discernible as well as some kind of thermal sight.
it's the MSMC. Ajay sir could you please tell as to why it has not been inducted yet? Also is the Tavor/Zittara manufactured by the OFB?
Its one of the perfectly developed but Systematically Rejected weapon's platform that would follow the same path as 100's of other platforms........Thanks to the big money involved in foriegn deals and Thanks to US VISA's to Babu's Sons and Son In Laws....... Jindagi me Ek baar bhi desh ke baare me socho yaar! Why does it have to be "YOU" all the time and not the NATION at least once in a life time......Think of it!
What about this sight?http://beta.thehindu.com/news/cities/Thiruvananthapuram/article439498.ece
The gun being developed under F-INSAS program is thishttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ADvl2WJb8g&feature=player_embedded
Are you not supposed to keep both eyes open while using a reflex sight?Supposed to be one of its main advantage; of retaining a greater field of vision.
I want my gold star and brownie points. I would like the points to be transferable to the nearest bakery. Thank you very much.
Ajai do you have the pics of the posters behind?Very interesting details in those!!
its a american m series gun was under trial for the past 2 years possibly a m-15 or 16 with limited licsense
Perhaps some carbine version of Kalantak.
That's MSMC Sir....Please post the details of your visit... Is the Army inducting those ??
Looks good, and I hope the specifications are as good as a comparable import. Just one comment: Does the grip seem odd? It seems to bend forward; this has to put a lot of strain on the operator's wrist. I hope they change this if and when this weapon hits full production.
definitely a MSMC
Re AjaiAny possibility of high resolution pics of the background posters?
That is MSMC . I am informed that it shoots also. I am also informed that the Armed Forces are not too keen. They trust the HK series.
